Trail Master Plan for Phoenixville Borough

The Plan determined the trail alignment, trailhead areas and access points for Phoenixville’s section of the Schuylkill River Heritage Trail, a National Heritage Trail proposed along the Schuylkill River from Philadelphia to Pottsville.

The Plan determined the alignment of the trail through French Creek Center, a proposed mixed-use redevelopment project on the 120-acre former Phoenix Steel Site, and a major revitalization initiative for the Borough. Once complete, the trail is anticipated to draw tens of thousand of users to the Borough per year.
